A storefront door gets opened hundreds of times a day, in all weather, by people who are not gentle with it. Sooner or later it starts to drag, swing shut too hard, stop short of latching or leave a gap you can see daylight through. Prestine Glass Solutions repairs aluminum storefront doors for shops, restaurants, offices and building lobbies across the DMV.
Most storefront door problems come down to a handful of parts: the closer, the pivots or hinges, the lock and strike, the threshold and the glass. We find which one is causing the trouble and fix that, rather than selling a new door you may not need.
Usually worn pivots, loose hinges or a stile that has started to pull apart at the corner.
Usually the closer: leaking, out of adjustment or worn out.
Cracked panels, a shattered door or a lock that was forced overnight.
We work on the aluminum doors and framing found on most commercial entrances in the area. Typical repairs include:
If the door itself is too far gone, we will say so and quote commercial door replacement instead.

A short video of the door opening and closing tells us a lot. Add a photo of the top of the door where the closer sits, one of the bottom corner and threshold, and the address. We can often tell from that which parts to bring, which saves a second trip.
Doors that will not lock are treated as urgent. Call 571-621-0898 and tell us the building is unsecured. More on emergency commercial door repair and emergency board-up.

Tell us what broke and where. Photos help us quote faster.
For emergencies we clear the hazard and board up or secure the opening.
We measure on site and order the right glass and hardware.
We fit the permanent glass and leave the site clean.

The closer is usually leaking oil or out of adjustment. Adjusting it can help, but a leaking closer needs replacing.
Common causes are a weak closer, a sagging door from worn pivots, or a strike that no longer lines up with the lock.
Yes. Most hardware repairs leave the glass in place. If the glass is cracked we can replace it as part of the same visit or a follow-up.
Yes. Tell us the building and any access rules and we will work around them.
No. Prestine works on commercial and residential building glass only. We do not do windshields or vehicle glass.
