Commercial Door Replacement in DC, Virginia & Maryland

Aluminum Storefront Doors, Glass Entry Doors and Frames

When a commercial door keeps failing, repairs start to cost more than they save. A sagging door drags on the threshold, the closer gives out again, the lock stops lining up and the frame is bent from years of traffic or a break-in. Prestine Glass Solutions replaces aluminum storefront doors and glass entry doors for shops, restaurants, offices and multi-tenant buildings across the DMV.

We look at the whole opening before recommending anything: the door leaf, the frame, the hinges or pivots, the closer and the glass. Sometimes a new door in the existing frame is enough. Sometimes the frame has to go too. You get a straight answer either way. Call 571-621-0898 or send us photos for an estimate.

What We Replace

Aluminum Storefront Doors

Narrow, medium and wide stile aluminum doors with glass, the standard entrance on most shops and offices.

If the door was forced or broken and the building is open to the street, start with emergency service.

Repair or Replace? How We Decide

Replacement makes sense when the door itself is the problem: a bent or cracked stile, corners that keep pulling apart, a door that has been patched several times, or a door that no longer suits how the space is used. It also makes sense when the old hardware is worn out across the board and the parts are hard to match.

Repair still wins when the door is sound and one part has failed. A worn closer, a loose pivot or a cracked glass panel can usually be fixed on their own. See door closer replacement, hinge and pivot repair and storefront door repair for those jobs.

How a Door Replacement Works

Send the address, a photo of the door from inside and outside, and a note on what is going wrong. We visit, measure the opening and check the frame, threshold and hardware. You get a written scope that says what is being replaced and what is staying.

Doors and glass are made to the measured size, so there is a lead time between measuring and installing. If the door has to stay secure in the meantime, we talk through a temporary fix. On install day we take out the old door, fit the new one, adjust the closer and test the lock and swing before we leave. More on our commercial door repair and commercial glass services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you replace just the door and keep the frame?

Sometimes. We check the hardware during the visit and tell you what can be reused and what should be replaced.

The install itself is usually done in one visit. The wait is the lead time for the door and glass, which we confirm when you order.
